Water World kids
Location: Lloret de Mar, Spain
Opening year: 1985
Size: approx. 10 ha
Highlights: In 2024, Water World Lloret de Mar – Spain’s oldest water park and one of the largest in Europe – opened the new kids zone Tornado Land, as part of a broader strategy to make the park more attractive to families with children.
The expansion covers approximately 8,000 m², on top of the existing 100,000 m² of the park. There are eight new slides, four of which are specifically aimed at younger children, all ending in a common splashdown pool. Of the eight slides, there is 1 world’s first and 1 first in Europe:
KIDZ Double TornadoWAVE – the world’s first, specially scaled-down version for children, with the typical weightlessness feeling of the TornadoWAVE slides from ProSlide.
FlyingSAUCER 8 – the first in the EMEA region, a miniature version of the classic ProSlide FlyingSAUCER where children experience high-speed turns in a grand way, but adapted for their age ProSlide.
