Mont Cascades Waterpark is a popular water park located in Cantley, about 20 minutes from Ottawa. The park opened in 1992 and is part of the Mont Cascades resort, which also includes a ski area. Due to the combination of nature, attractions, and other facilities, it is considered a major tourist attraction in the region.
The water park serves as an important test and development center for ProSlide Technology, a Canadian manufacturer of water attractions. The park has historically played a pioneering role, for example with the introduction of the first mat racer slide in 1994.
In 2018, the park opened a new kids zone featuring three ProSlide Kidz slides: a four-lane racer slide, an enclosed twister slide, and a Kidz Bowl—a miniature version of the iconic adult bowls that ProSlide also offers. This kids zone is a prime example of a simple yet cost-effective expansion where children can entertain themselves for hours.
