Waterparken waar je naar toe wilt in 2025!
January 15, 2025
‘Also in 2025, there will be plenty happening in the field of water park attractions throughout Europe, after a nice series of openings in 2024’
In 2024, some spectacular new water attractions have already opened throughout Europe, and that will happen again in 2025!
Here is my list of tips for 2025:
Water World, Lloret de Mar – Spanje
In 2025, Water World will be 40 years old, making it one of the oldest large outdoor water parks in (Southern) Europe. To celebrate this 40th anniversary, the park is launching Europe’s first Double TornadoWAVE slide. This spectacular type of slide can also be found in iconic water parks such as Volcano Bay in the USA and Aquaventure in Dubai. In 2024, Water World already took a preview of the festivities by opening a new kids zone with the children’s version of the aforementioned slide: a world first!
I am proud to have worked for this park through my employment at ProSlide (which also supplies the attractions) and to have been able to lay down the first sketches for this area, which were then developed by colleagues together with the park into the design below!

Fårup Sommerland, Blokhus – Denemarken
In 2024, Fårup Sommerland launched a large complex from manufacturer WhiteWater West. If you’re in North Denmark and the weather is good, definitely check this out. In addition to a water park, you’ll also find a large amusement park here. One of the highlights of the park is “Fønix”, a Wildcat Coaster from the Dutch manufacturer Vekoma Rides, which opened three years ago.

Rulantica, Rust – Duitsland
Actually, something happens every year in Rulantica. While in 2024 the water carousel Tønnevirvel was covered so it can also be used in winter, the park is expanding the outdoor section in 2025 with a large new pool, again with a swim-up bar, called Nørd Havn.
I also have inside info that something big and spectacular is coming in 2026!

Aquascope, Poitiers – Frankrijk
Zie ook mijn park review van dit bijzondere park: https://b-eau.nl/blog-aquascope/
If you’re passing through and come via the A10 towards Bordeaux at Poitiers in central France, I would definitely say take a look.

Center Parcs Nordborg – Denemarken
In the summer of 2025, the first Center Parcs in Denmark opens and the Aquamundo promises to be spectacular. I’m especially looking forward to the wild water course as a signature attraction, but there will also be something to experience in terms of slides.

Siam Park, Tenerife – Spanje
The number 1 water park in the world cannot be missing from this list. Although the dueling water coaster Saifa has been open for some time, this park is magnificent in every way and definitely worth a visit (even if you have to make a detour for it: this is a must-see). Climate, landscape, and attractions are world-class. But be careful on busy days: it can get very crowded.

Aquavillage Follonica – Italië
In 2024, this park opened the Golden Loop slide in a fantastically themed area. This Polin slide looks spectacular, but I have no idea if it offers an appealing experience. High on my list to try.

Land of Legends, Antalya – Turkije
One of the longest water coasters in the world opened in this park two years ago. The Turtle Coaster is more than 400 meters long, has 4 FlyingSAUCER turns, and as many as 8 uphill sections. This masterpiece is from ProSlide Technology and is also executed in a fantastic colorful pattern.

The Parque Aquatico (Portugal)
This Looping Group park is located on a slope, 100 meters above the Tamega River. The unusual location offers breathtaking views and slides that take advantage of the terrain’s elevation differences. In 2024, this park opened the Monster Lotus slide from German manufacturer Wiegand, a compact family rafting slide. In addition, this park offers a range of other slides and attractions. But just for the location of this park, you should go here!

Notable matters
Remarkably little is happening in the UK. We have to wait for the opening of Therme Manchester. In the past, I have worked a lot on Russian and Ukrainian projects, but we all know what’s going on there at the moment.
Also in the Netherlands and Belgium, there is currently little news, but I know that appealing projects are on the agenda for 2026/2027 (at least 1 appealing project per country). In Germany and the Alpine countries, some slides have opened, but somehow I haven’t received many details about them yet. I think I should watch a bit more Tuberides ;-)
